Begin Your Journey with an Immersive Art Experience at Gallery in-Lounge presented by Plaza Premium First
As part of our promise to curate refined experiences for our guests, we transformed Plaza Premium First Hong Kong into the world’s first in-lounge art gallery, to present an exhibition themed “Return to Your Heart” in collaboration with Beijing Poly Art Company Limited, the art solutions pioneer and expert for corporates.
The inaugural exhibition invites guests to reset the mind with a collection where the central theme of the artists’ works leads an exploration of nature and humanity by portraits of nature, animals, people and cultural landscape, in oil and ink on canvas and a number of sculptures.
From the entrance, the exhibition starts at AeroBar taking guests through to the lounge seating area, and into Infinity Room, a flexible private space away from the main lounge area. Masterpieces from five artists are introduced, each sharing part of their life journeys in their own unique style.
Known for his technique of using multi-layers of oil paint, Lv Shanchuan applied complex brush strokes to interpret a sense of life with a set of canvas paintings titled “Ocean No. 1”, “Ocean No. 2”, “Ocean No. 3”, “Blossom” and “Koi.”
“Revelation,” a 1.6-metre-tall sculpture by sculptor Fan Xiaoyan, showcases a group of people in a rewarding wine moment – isn’t that something we always resonate while sipping a glass of wine with friends? More celebrations go to the human kind through the power of life force with “The Rhythm of Bamboo” to praise the unbroken nature of bending bamboo.
The lounge seating area is where guests are invited to re-think the relationship between innate nature and rationality with Hua Qing who created “The Thinker” – a monkey sitting on a pile of books. Journey on is the “Landscape” collection by Si Peilin on the walls of Infinity Room, illustrating iconic bricks and tiles of old Beijing, transporting you back to memory lane of historic and cultural moments. Time for an inner dialogue? Perhaps “Gao Shala” by Tian Wei comprising a striking contrast between black and blue in a vertical movement and horizontal stillness will give you a sense of dynamic nature of time.
“Return to Your Heart” asks us not only to imagine the next journey but to find our way home – a foundation which gives freedom to explore the world through many journeys ahead.
